Our 2020 Centenary release Chardonnay has been produced by one of the longest established winemakers in WA, Woodlands Wines, and displays all the hallmarks of a great Margaret River Chardonnay. The colour is pale straw in colour, with a golden hue. The nose is a complex matrix of rich tropical fruits and malty notes mixing with the fresh, sweet meyer lemon. The palate is opulent and refined, expressing an abundance of orchard fruits with a luscious creamy texture and subtle notes of French oak, with a fine acid finish.
Frankie’s Folly is named after Lady Treatt (Frankie Wilson ’32), a generous donor to St Mary’s at Metricup: The Lady Treatt Centre for Learning and Leadership, the location of our vineyard.
