The 2017 vintage has created an outstanding example of Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon. Its dark ruby colour and aromas of lifted dark berry fruits and minted highlights are all richly decorated in French oak and depict a style of finesse and grace.
The vintage has created a full condensed palate containing a delicious fusion of ripe black berry and forest floor flavours. The well-ripened fine tannins create a soft mid palate with seamless integration through to the structural tannins in the finish, suggesting a great vintage from the vineyard. Can be enjoyed as a young wine or up to 15 years of age.
Frankie’s Folly is named after Lady Treatt (Frankie Wilson ’32), a generous donor to St Mary’s at Metricup: The Lady Treatt Centre for Learning and Leadership, the location of our vineyard.
